Civil Mediation Services

Civil Mediation is the process of intervention by a neutral third party.  The mediator's job is not to force or impose a resolution but to simply help the disputing parties engage in meaningful dialogue and facilitate a solution that the disputing parties have created.  The mediation process does have its ground rules but these rules promote fairness and structured debate.  By shifting the focus away from personalities and emotions, the mediator can encourage the parties to rationally consider facts, issues, and proposed solutions.  The goal of mediation is for all parties to sign a "memorandum of agreement" that would later be drafted into a settlement agreement and presented to the Court for adoption into the Court's Final Order.

Attorney Tarla Atwell has experience in mediating cases including but not limited to, personal injury, business disputes, contract disputes, and landlord-tenant disputes.
